Pforzheim, February 19, 2024 — The PropTech start-up Sensaru is announcing a new partnership with energy management specialist ClimaCloud at this year’s E-World in Essen. Sensaru has developed the first self-installable, sensor-based measurement system that allows real estate companies to digitize their heating systems quickly, easily, and cost-effectively — while uncovering significant energy-saving potential.

Through this partnership, Sensaru is expanding the services offered on its platform. In addition to deeper measurement data analysis, the collaboration focuses on the automated generation of energy reports and energy certificates.

Energy Reporting and Certificates at the Touch of a Button

As part of the partnership, Sensaru customers will now have access to a fully automated energy reporting tool. Energy reports and certificates, based on consumption and master data, are available for download within seconds and can be accessed at any time throughout the year.

Up to 30% Savings on Heating Costs Thanks to Advanced Data Analysis

In the next phase, the measurement data expertise of both companies will be integrated on the software side. This integration enables even deeper analysis and interpretation of measurement data. Thanks to ClimaCloud’s extensive experience, the actionable recommendations derived from these analyses typically lead to average annual heating cost savings of 15 to 30 percent. These savings often don’t require major investments — they result mainly from optimized system settings or the identification of malfunctions that would otherwise go unnoticed without precise data.

New Features Address EU Taxonomy Needs

Reducing primary energy consumption and providing related energy reporting are especially important in light of the EU taxonomy. This regulation aims to channel investments toward sustainable activities. For the housing sector, this means that properties are increasingly assessed — and categorized — based on their energy performance, which is a key factor for securing bank financing. With its S1 measurement system, Sensaru not only enables the quick and cost-effective identification of energy-saving opportunities but also provides the verified reporting necessary to meet EU taxonomy requirements.

“ClimaCloud’s 15 years of expertise in data analysis and reporting is a tremendous asset for us. It allows us to further optimize our solutions and help lead the real estate industry into a more energy-efficient future,” says Matthias Zeh, Managing Director of Sensaru.

“Sensaru’s plug-and-play approach is a true differentiator at a time when skilled labor is in short supply. We’re thrilled to bring our experience to such an innovative solution and to work together on advancing energy efficiency in the housing sector,” says Günter Schlotmann, Managing Director of ClimaCloud.
